Coaching Announcement

The 6ixers are very excited to welcome Carla Difilippo back as our head coach for the 2017 season! You may remember her name… she has contributed to the success of numerous Toronto teams over the years. For starters, Carla is one of the awesome coaches behind Elites Ultimate. She also helped lead the 6ixers to an undefeated regular season last year, including two big wins at the Elite-Select Challenge and the Select-Flight Invite! But her biggest accomplishment in 2016? Carla coached our amazing U20 women this summer, leading them to a GOLD MEDAL at the World Junior Ultimate Championships in Poland! We feel so lucky to have Carla returning as our coach this summer, and we know that she will bring an arsenal of knowledge, skills, and experience to our team. It will be tough to top last year’s season, but we know that with Carla at the helm we can do it!

While we feel so fortunate to have Carla back as our coach, we are very sad to say goodbye to her partner in crime, Hoodie. Hoodie was an integral part of our team, and we loved every moment we shared with her as our coach. She is truly one of the most knowledgeable Ultimate minds in the game, but it was her passion and commitment to the team that made us fall in love with her. Toronto’s loss is Montreal’s gain, as Hoodie is headed that way to pursue a new career where she will certainly thrive and continue to be extremely awesome. We will miss her SO much, and appreciate everything that she has done for our team. She helped make each of us better players and teammates. THANK YOU HOODS!

Stay tuned for more exciting announcements from the 6ixers as the spring approaches. We look forward to seeing what the women of Toronto have in store for us at tryouts this April, and we are excited to get our 2017 season off the ground!
