The Toronto Women’s Ultimate System has some exciting information to share with the community! This summer marks the first phase in the rebranding and restructuring of our system, as well as a renewed emphasis on focusing on development of the Toronto Women’s Ultimate scene. Our goal is to promote the growth of Toronto players at multiple skill levels while building a sense of community within our system. This year, the Toronto Women’s Ultimate System is proud to officially announce our club system and two new teams for the 2016 Ultimate season: our Elite Women’s team and our Competitive Women’s team. Toronto’s Elite Women’s team will be participating in the USAU Triple Crown Series in the Elite Division. Our Competitive Women’s team will be participating in the Canadian Ultimate Series. The two teams will run under a club system, with regularly scheduled joint practices and shared practice plans.  If there is sufficient interest, a third team will be created and supported within the system. Names for all three teams will be revealed as tryouts approach. More information regarding the tryout process will be available shortly. We are very excited to bring a reinvigorated emphasis on the development of Women’s Ultimate to Toronto!

Additional Information

  • The club will practice twice a week.
  • The teams will aim to attend one tournament a month.
  • Provided that we can obtain side by side fields on a Tuesday, the two teams will have regularly scheduled joint practices as one club. We are in the process of determining the frequency.
  • When needed, players from the Competitive team will be invited to participate at non-conflicting tournaments with the Elite team.
  • Practice plans will be developed for the entire club in order to have a unified system that is working towards common goals. The leadership of the the Competitive team will work with and be supported by the leadership of the Elite team.
  • We will be seeking coaches for the Elite and Competitive teams in the Toronto Women’s Club system.
  • More information regarding a third developmental team will be shared when we have more information on numbers and interest level.
