Please excuse the mess, we are eager to get a new UE site up but the content isn’t quite ready so we’re doing a ‘live redesign’ and building content as we go along. Thanks for you understanding and patience. -The UE Team

Goat

GOAT is a Toronto-based open club team that will be competing in its ninth season in 2010. Attracting players from across Canada, GOAT carries a roster of approximately 22-25 elite level players.

GOAT was formed in 2002 to build a long-lasting ultimate program competing at the highest levels of the sport in Canada and the United States. Originally comprising top players from Toronto and Ottawa, GOAT now draws its core numbers from Toronto. Despite the vast infusion of new blood in 2005, GOAT did not skip a beat – continuing to achieve solid results over the course of the season.

Always competitive and striving to improve, GOAT is also committed to developing the depth and skills of up-and-coming players in Toronto and Eastern Canada. With a solid core of players and strong connections to other Toronto teams and the Canadian University scene, GOAT is poised to continue its success in the years to come.

Since its inception, GOAT has achieved a high degree of success on the field, beginning with a Canadian Championship title in 2002 and most recently in 2006. GOAT has appeared in the Canadian Ultimate Championship finals in 2003, 2005, and 2007 as well as numerous wins at various Eastern Canadian tournaments.

South of the border, GOAT has also proven competitive with finalist appearances at what is now the Chicago Heavyweight Championships (2003 & 2005); semi-finalist showings at the Boston Invitational (2003 & 2005); and qualifying for the UPA Club Championships (2004).

2007 was a career year for GOAT, winning tournaments at the Boston Invite, Flowerbowl, Chicago Heavyweights and Chesopeake. GOAT also was runner up at CUC Nationals and Motown Throwdown in Detroit. At the UPA Club Championships, GOAT had its best showing ever, making the semi-finals. 2008 continued the strong showing with GOAT making the semi-finals at the Boston Invite and finishing 6th at the UPA Club Championship.
