Attention Toronto Ultimate Community:

ROY Ultimate is actively seeking one or more individuals interested in coaching for the 2017 season. This season, ROY will be competing in the Canadian Ultimate Series and this position will be a large time commitment.

The Coach will be expected to work in conjunction with the team captains to run comprehensive practices aimed at skill development, game planning, fitness and tournament preparation. A successful candidate need not have previously played Open before but should have a in-depth knowledge of the game, and be able to bring the team to the next step. The Coach will be expected to attend two (2) practices a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), as well as attend the following tournaments (reasonable accommodations can be made if the Coach cannot make one or more of the tournaments):

Tournaments:

  • Toronto Ultimate Festival (early May)
  • No Surf – Cleveland (Tentative) (late May)
  • Jazzfest – Montreal (June 10-11)
  • Regionals (early-mid July)
  • No Borders – Ottawa (July 22-23)
  • Nationals (Tentative) – Ottawa (August 17-20)

Qualified Applicants may be invited to assist ROY in running winter practices at Central Tech Stadium on Saturdays from 3-5pm to assess if the applicant and the team are a correct fit.
